HK was born on Sept. 27, 1943, in Ganado, AZ to parents Kee and Lisa John.

HK liked to take walks and exercise, he liked to build houses, he worked for the railroad BNSF, and was a welder and foreman. He liked watching sports and reading the newspaper. His favorite movies were westerns and he also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling.

HK is survived by his wife, Ella Mae John, by children David John, Maria Gonzales (Richard), Narita John, Harry John Jr. (Bernadette), Raymond John and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister and brother and his grandmother, with whom he was very close. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the John Family Plot (seven miles south of Wide Ruins chapter house off Hwy 191.
