Obituary for Harry Thomas “Tom” Hurt Harry Thomas “Tom” Hurt, 80, died peacefully in his sleep April 24, 2018. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had worked for the phone company for 42 years. He was a avid golfer, sports enthusiast and UK fan.

Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sallie Hurt; son, Charlie Hurt and wife Paula; daughters, Sallie Lively and husband David and Elizabeth Gartner and husband Steve; and grandchildren, Katie Hurt, Mattie Hurt, Tripp Lively and Harper Lively. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Fellowship Chapel, Bristol, VA or anytime at the home. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Scott Price officiating.
