Harvey L. “Tucker” Ord, died March 7, 2019 at Glen Haven Nursing Home in Glenwood. Tucker was born September 10, 1924 in O’Neill, Nebraska to the late George and Mary (Batten) Ord. At age 18, Tucker joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Massachusetts during WWII.

After serving four years in the Navy, Tucker returned home and started Ord’s Grocery in Silver City, Iowa. Tucker married Alene Marie Jones on September 21, 1947. They ran the store for 35 years.
