Hector is preceded in death by his parents, father Emilio; mother Maria; birth mother Aurora Delgado; father in law Enrique R. Cervantes; daughter Roxanne Lira; and brothers Ernesto and Mario. Hector is survived by his wife Esmeralda Lira; sons Eric, Leonard, Michael (Neomi), Andrew (Connie), and Rodric (Kim); daughters Nancy (Roger), Stacie (Mark), Erika (Richard), Rachel (Hector), and Roslyn (Moses); brothers John, Victor, Henry, and Rick; sisters Dora, Mary Esther, Rita, and Sylvia; 25 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Hector and Esmeralda shared 19 wonderful years of marriage together. He loved sports and he especially loved and was a devoted fan to the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, and San Antonio Spurs. Hector was a funny man and he would always be making everyone laugh.

Hectors favorite tradition was having barbacoa on Sunday mornings. Hectors loving memory will always be remembered and carried through the love of his family. Come and join the family of Hector Delgado Lira, as we come together to celebrate and pay tribute a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and over all amazing man.

Services are as follows: Monday – December 3, 2018 Visitation – 4pm – 9pm – Texas Funeral Home Chapel Rosary to be recited at 7pm.
