Obituary for Helen B. Stone (Brooks) Helen Brooks Stone died peacefully at home on December 26, 2018 in Knoxville Tennessee at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude T. Brooks and her mother, Esther Lawson Brooks, her older sisters, Marjorie Brooks Herbert, Hazel Brooks Corder and brother, Claude Brooks, Jr. (Bud). She is survived by her sisters Cleo Brooks Ball of Abingdon, VA and Shelby Brooks Lawson of Johnson City, TN.

Helen was born and raised in the southwestern part of Virginia. She graduated from St. Paul High School. and worked at the St. Paul National Bank.

Helen married Alfred E. Stone of Clintwood, VA. The couple are survived by their four children: Kimberly Stone of Pasadena, CA, David Stone of Quinton, VA, Jason Stone of Abingdon, VA and Amy Stone of Knoxville, TN. They have one grandson, Courtland Oliver Stone.

Helen was devoted to the heavenly Father and was a true believer. She was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables. She was also passionate about spending time with her family and her friends from church.

Helen was a very loving, generous, kind and devoted mother. She can now rest and rejoice in the arms of the Son and the Father in heaven. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
