Helen’s Obituary Helen Dean Stephenson of San Marcos, formerly of Wimberley, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019, at the age of 96. She was born February 15, 1922 to Sie and Mamie Bingham in San Marcos, Texas. She graduated from San Marcos High School, Class of 1940 and married her childhood sweetheart, Clifford E. Stephenson on October 11, 1943 and they were married for 48 years.

Helen was very active in planning the high school reunions. They had one daughter, Gayle Stephenson Weir and they resided in Corpus Christi from 1948 to 1979, when they retired to Wimberley, Texas. Helen remained there after Cliff’s death in 1991 until 2014 when she moved to San Marcos.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Gayle and husband, Ron Weir; grandson, Jeffery Weir, wife Kathie and their three sons, Jacob, Nick, and Zach and granddaughter, Jennifer O’Leary and husband, James and their two daughters, Peyton and Kaylin. Services for the family are pending. Arrangements by Pennington Funeral Home, San Marcos, Texas, 512-353-4311.
