Obituary for Helen G. Burris Helen G. Burris (nee Gulas) age 81, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 17, 1936 in Lorain, she lived in Lorain her entire life.

Helen graduated from Lorain High School in 1954. Helen worked for over 30 years in the housekeeping department at Community Health Partners, Lorain, retiring in 2009. Prior to this, she worked at the Amherst Bob’s Big Boy restaurant and also for private residences as a housekeeper in the Lorain area.

Helen was raised Catholic and attended St. Anthony of Padua parish in Lorain. She enjoyed traveling to Amish country, flea markets and going to Cedar Point with her grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Brenda (Roger) Wamsley of Kipton; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1990; a son, Christopher in 2014; and brothers, Mike, John and Ron. Abiding by Helen’s wishes, she was cremated. The Dovin Funeral and Cremations Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
