Helen H. Roalkvam, 88 of Lakewood, WA died February 26, 2018. She was born April 26, 1929 in Troy, ID to Walter & Melba Hanson. Helen moved to Kennewick, WA as a child & attended Kennewick High School.

She graduated from Pacific Lutheran College where she met the love of her life, Ed Roalkvam and they were married June 27, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Kennewick. Helen enjoyed quilting, reading & most of all, her family & friends. An active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister & grandmother.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Roalkvam April 9, 1992 and is survived by her son, Tom Roalkvam (Carol Lee) of Olympia; daughters, Sue Williams (Butch) of Olympia, Karen Parr (Steve) of Lakewood; brother, David Hanson (Alice) of Kennewick; sister, Kathryn Kaye (Jim) of Richland. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Jane, Alex, Amanda, Emily and Kaitlyn. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 12115 Park Ave.

S., Tacoma, WA 98444. A graveside service will be held, Sat. March 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church.
