Obituary for Helen Irene Davis Graveside service for Irene Davis, 94, of Rio Vista will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the Grange Hall Cemetery in Rio Vista. Pastor David Cole will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Irene Davis passed away January 4, 2019 in Fort Worth. She was born September 24, 1924 in Cleburne to Price Finley and Mattie Louellen (Jackson) Royce. Irene was a creature of habit and did not like change.
She loved to quilt and cook. Irene loved her entire family very much always putting them first even above her own needs. She was a very giving and strong willed person.
She is survived by her children, Annie Morales, Mattie Barnes, Donnie Dollar and Delores and Shirley Riley and Dwayne; step-children, Lisa Doty, Marsha Rhodes, Larry Davis and Don Davis; grandchildren, Bruce, Lisa, Elaine, Misty, Christine, Carl, Cherri, Keith, Lorrie, Loretta, Tammy, Crystal, Amber, Juanita, Sonja, Cliff and Shaun; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and sister Maria Vaughan. Irene is preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Weltmer Dollar and Giles Braden Davis; brothers, Curtis Vaughan, Herbert Vaughan and Cecil Vaughan; son in laws, James Morales and Gene Vaughan.
