OBITUARY Helen Kay Olenick November 2, 1949 – November 27, 2018 Helen Kay Olenick, age 69, Born November 2, 1949 in Grundy, Virginia met her Lord and savior on November 27, 2018 in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was born to Haze and Goldie Mullins in Grundy, Virginia. She considered Montcalm, West Virginia her home, but also resided in Mineral, Virginia and called Fort Worth her home for the last 6 years.

Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being a homemaker, often being a second mother to her children’s friends, and always having open doors to welcome family and friends. Helen enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and looking for a good find at flea markets.

She loved her pets and later in life, much enjoyed collecting pug items. She will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to have shared in her life journey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Haze and Goldie Mullins, and her daughter, Patricia K. Mays.

Helen is survived by her husband, George D. Olenick, whom she married in December of 1989; children, Darla R. Blankeship, Michael L. Mays and wife, Evonna, Barbara Anne Mays-Blackard, and husband, Kevin D. Blackard, and Danelle M. Mays; grandchildren, Cassi Tyree, Eli Wimmer, Amber Baker, Ashley Baker, Amber Fedorka, Brooklyn Blackard, and Kayleb Mays; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
