LILESVILLE – Mrs. Helen Meachum Sellers, 63, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, October 26, 2018 at Cathedral Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating.

Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home. Helen was born February 26, 1955 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Cecil Thomas Meachum and Naomi Louise Helms Meachum of Wadesboro.

She attended Anson County Schools and furthered her education at Anson Community College, now South Piedmont, with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for a number of years in the business office of B.C. Moore and Son. Surviving are her husband of nearly 42 years, Fred Sellers; her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Lauren Sellers of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Maverick, Liberty and Lachlan; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brenda Meachum and Patrick Treadaway both of Wadesboro, Debbie Meachum of Lilesville, Willa Cox, Johnny and Lucy Sellers and Eddie and Sandra Sellers all of Conway, SC, Marjorie and John Prince of Tabor City and Ronnie Sellers of Whiteville and her nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Joyce Henry, Nancy Treadaway, Linda Funderburke, Betty Lou Funderburke, Debbie Ramsey, Louise Bowman, Martha Henry, Jerry Meachum and Cecil Meachum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cathedral Baptist Church, 1215 Old Lilesville Rd. , Wadesboro, NC 28170.
