Helen (Smith) Ritchey-Bowser, 89, Blue Knob, went home to be with the Lord on Monday. She was born in Cresson, daughter of the late Francis J. and Mary A. (Gailey) Smith. She first married Harold S. Ritchey in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1964.

She then married Donald W. Bowser in 1984, and he preceded her in death in 2015. Surviving are four children: Brenda Neff and husband, Robert, Elaine Helsel and husband, Thomas, Connie Jackson and husband, John, and Rick Ritchey and wife, Deb, all of Blue Knob; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Alice Long, Pean Long, Vera Feathers, Grace Discavage, Judy McCabe and Gloria Smith; and a brother, William Smith She was preceded in death by five siblings: Francis Jr., Margie Weyandt, Charles Smith, Fred Smith and Joseph Smith. Helen retired from Puritan Cleaners after more than 30 years service.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Blue Knob Fire Department and of the Puzzletown Road Bible Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov.

15, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Puzzletown Road Bible Church, Pastor Jon Gross officiating.

Interment will be at Dry Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Puzzletown Road Bible Church Youth Fund, 316 Puzzletown Road, Duncansville, PA 16635.
