OBITUARY Helen Tomassetti June 10, 1923 – February 1, 2019 Helen (Piccolello) Kazy Tomassetti, 95, of New Britain, beloved wife of the late John Tomassetti, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on June 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Cianfano) Piccolello. Helen was an accountant, employed by the Aetna Life and Casualty for over 50 years.

She was also a member of the St. Francis Woman’s Auxillary and volunteered at the UConn Health Center for many years. Helen was a gentle and kind woman, she was also a lover of all animals. More than anything, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be forever missed by her devoted daughter Katherine Kazy Bryers and her husband Tom of Berlin, along with her adored grandchildren, Matthew Bryers and Lara Bryers Zier and her husband Sean.

She also leaves her cherished great-grandchildren, Harper Grace Zier and Arlo Thomas Zier. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by the love of her life, her first husband, August Kazy along with her beloved brother Joseph H. Piccolello and his wife Barbara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (February 6) at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St., New Britain.

Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. , Wethersfield. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Animal Alliance Welfare League, P.O. Box 1775, New Britian, CT 06050.
