Obituary for Helena Lukasik Helena Lukasik, age 64, passed away Thursday morning, September 6, 2018. Loving mother of Slawomir (Maria), Iwona (Damir) Krstic, and Cecylia (Piotr) Cackowski; cherished grandmother of Alex, Adrian, Kaya, Ava, and Christian; dear sister of the late Ludwika Moskal, Marianna (Jan) Knap, and Branislawa (Franciszek) Habas. Helena took pride in caring for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She was an accomplished Kindergarten teacher in Poland, and loved playing with her grandchildren and teaching them songs and poems. She loved to tend garden, do crossword puzzles, and her Sunday coffee with her sisters. She will be missed by many family and friends in both the United States and in Poland.

Funeral Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave. , Chicago, to St. Francis Borgia Church, 8033 W Addison St, Chicago for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
