Henry’s Obituary Henry August Wolf, age 87, a resident of Sycamore, IL, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday March 10, 2019, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born August 30, 1931 in Downers Grove to Henry and Sophia Wolf. Hank grew up in Downers Grove where he attended Downers Grove High School.

He was a self trained mechanic who worked at Triangle Service Phillips 66 until 1963 when he began a career as a mechanic at United Airlines. He retired in 1999. Known in racing as “Augie” Wolf, he enjoyed driving at Raceway Park in Blue Island.

He enjoyed working on his home and could build or fix anything. He was a Jack of all Trades who was anxious to help his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Diane Wolf, six children, Kenneth (Faith) Wolf of Downers Grove, Susan (Kyle) Marsden of Downers Grove, Cynthia (Bill) Suppes of Elburn, Tom (Denise) Schild of West Chicago, Peggy (Gary) Hoffrage of Geneva, and Michael (Lorrainne) Schild of Wheaton, 15 grandchildren, Michelle, Crystal, Katie, Joshua, Kendall, Joseph, Billy, Tyler, Ryan, Eric, Riley, Jake, Emma, Tracy, and Kailey, 10 great-grandchildren, Madison, Aubrey, Kala, Hailey, Blake, Emma, Colin, Nathan, Pipper and Lilly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
