Henry “Emmet” Miley, age 84, of St. Elmo, Illinois formerly of Beecher City and St. Francisville, Illinois passed away at 1:25 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at C&A Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo, Illinois. Don Miller will be officiating.

Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in rural Beecher City, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice.

Henry was born on August 10, 1934 in Washington, Indiana, the son of Henry E. and Lula M. (Keen) Miley. Henry moved to St. Francisville at an early age and attended both grade school and high school graduating in 1953. After graduating and working at several jobs he moved to Springfield, Illinois in 1954 where he met his future wife, Cora Dial and were married August 12, 1955.

To this union, four children were born; David, Malinda, Carla and Dennis. Emmet always enjoyed being with family and going to their sports events such as baseball, basketball, volleyball or whatever they were interested in. He liked to hunt in his early years when he had time.

He also enjoyed the times he would ride horses at the home of his father-in-law, Zennie and Lodema Dial. He had his horses, Zipper and Jaz, who he dearly loved before moving to St. Elmo. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cora Miley of St. Elmo, Illinois; two sons, David E. Miley and Dennis Miley (Janetia Wells) both of St. Elmo, Illinois; two daughters, Malinda Miller and Carla Klincar (Jeffery Wright) both of St. Elmo, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Eric Bockstruck (wife Shelby), Sasha Curry (husband Justin), Tori Carrell (husband David), Derek Klincar, Austin Miley (Alexis McCauley), Kate Miller, Lucas Miller; nine great-grandchildren, Lexus Carrell, David Carrell 3rd, Kaylie Curry, Andrea Curry, Peyton Curry, Charlie Bockstruck, Cole Brannan, Ethan Brannan and Kayden Willenborg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lula Miley; brother, Eugene; sisters, Ermal, Zelma, Mary, Dora, Norma and Shirley; niece, Brenda; nephews, Jerry, Timmy and Norman (who grew up with him as a brother being only 4 months older than him).
