Obituary of Henry Soto Henry J. Soto passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home in Morris. He was born in Joliet, IL on July 15, 1951 to the union of Librado and Severina (nee De Anda Munoz) Soto. Henry attended St. Joseph Grade School in Rockdale, was a graduate of Joliet West High School and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

He worked for several years as a car salesman in the surrounding suburbs. When he wasn’t working, Henry enjoyed golfing, motorcycles, boating and watching football. He had a true passion for all types of cars.

But above anything else, spending time with his family was most important to him. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynn (nee Anderson) Soto; his sons, Ross (Blair) Soto, Ryan (Sarah) Soto, Stephen (Michelle) Sternisha, and David (Liz) Sternisha,; grandchildren, Crystal Sternisha, Tabitha Jarzenbowski, Shawn Sternisha, Megan Browning, Amber (William) Sternisha, Michael Soto and Henry A. Soto; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Gabriel (Marian) Soto; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Soto, and Mary Esther (Wesley G.) Shaw. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He is preceded by his parents and his sister, Mary Boyd. Visitation for Henry J. Soto will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris, IL. Interment will be held privately.
