Herbert Garland Day Jr., better know as Cotton, died Sunday July 1, 2018 at Ashe Assisted Living. Mr. Day was born March 9, 1951 in Ashe County to the late Herbert Garland Sr. and Margaret Jones Day. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Russell Day and Rhondle Carlton Day Sr, sisters, Debbie Price and Louise Myrtle Hart.

Services will be private. Mr. Day is survived by sisters, Wanda Bare and Shirley McMillan both of Jefferson and Margaret Marsh of West Jefferson, several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorials may be made to Ashe Assisted Living, 182 Chattyrob Lane, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
