Obituary for Herbert J. “Bill” Billington Herbert “Bill” J. Billington, 90 of Toledo, Ohio formerly of Oberlin, Ohio passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 in his residence. Mr. Billington was born in Wales, Great Britain to John and Edith (Gibson) Billington. Mr. Billington served in the Royal Airforce during WWII.

After WWII Mr. Billington came to America entering the Banking Business at Oberlin Savings Bank starting out as a bookkeeper and retiring as President after 29 years. Mr. Billington was a former active member of the East Oberlin and First Church of Oberlin, Ohio. Bill enjoyed watching soccer games, playing golf, singing in the choir and the Cleveland Indian’s, and Cleveland Browns.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Joan Billington, son, James (Kathy) Billington, granddaughter, Barbara Billington, Brothers, John and George Billington. Surviving are granddaughter, Lori (Zac Arquette) Kedrie, grandson, Brian (Nicole) Billington, 9 great grandchildren. A burial will take place in the Westwood Cemetery Oberlin, Ohio on July 20, 2019.
