He was born May 20th, 1934 to Wallace and Elizabeth (Phillips) Davis in Harlan, Ky. Herman married Jennie M Parsons on July 28, 1956 in Rogersville, Tn.

She survives. Also surviving 1 son Ronnie (Debbie) Veedersburg, IN. 1 Daughter Rose (Eric) Staley, Hoopeston, IL.

5 grandchildren; Eric, Kyle, Alicia, Sean, and Patrick. 5 great grandchildren; Jaxen, Madyx, Huxley, Kaylee, Wyatt. Several nieces and nephews.

Many great friends. Proceeding him in death are his Parents, sister Vesta Brewer, brothers Paul, Elmer, and George also his father and mother in law Jake and Louisa Parsons. Herman loved spending time with his family, camping, working in the yard and gardening.

He could always be found piddling with something in the garage. His greatest pleasure was worshiping the lord and listening to gospel music. Gospel music concerts were the best, especially when attended with friends.

He was blessed by attending Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved teasing and fellowship with all of his church family. He was retired from General Motors.

Per Herman’s wishes, he will be cremated, a Celebration of Life will be at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, IL. on Saturday March 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, IL.
