Obituary of Hettie Diehl Bedford – Hettie L. Diehl, 73, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 30, 1944, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of William Albert and Zula (Stover) Stockton. She married Gary Diehl on April 8, 1978 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2018.

She retired as an LPN after twenty-eight years at the Bedford Nursing Home and was a member of the Central Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Woody and husband, Jerry, of Bedford and Stephanie Creech and husband, Gordon, of Ellettsville; two step-sons, Stacey Diehl and wife, Cathy, and Barry Diehl all of Florida; a step-daughter, Shelly Cox, and husband, Rocky, of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Wells, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her parents, and a sister, Anna Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, July 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Rick Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www. daycarter.com.
