Hollis Stanley Boone, age 91, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Benton House in Newnan, GA. He was born on April 18, 1927 in Coweta County to the late Albert Boone and Ruth Boone. Along with his parents, Hollis is preceded in death by his son, Stanley Boone and siblings, Hue Boone, Bruce Boone, Donny Boone and Evelyn Boone Jordan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Craven Boone; daughter, Linda Bishop and her husband John; grandchildren, Lee Singleton, Robert Boone and one great grandchild, Allison Singleton. The funeral is Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 3 o’clock in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Morris and Rev. Richard Barr officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. Rather than flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to First Christian Church, 8 Elm Street, Newnan, GA 30263.
