Mr. Howard Fields of Newnan (formerly of Fairburn) passed away February 23, 2019. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. Mr. Fields was an avid hunter and loved to travel.

He also loved his church family, his 1960 Chevy Impala, and his 3 granddaughters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harriett Swann Fields of Newnan; daughter, Susan Chunta and her husband, Richard, of Newnan; son, Ken Fields and his wife, Janette, of Bremen; brothers, Choice Fields and his wife, Ann, of Camp Hill, AL; John Fields and his wife, Dianne, of Jackson, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Chunta, Karmen Fields and Kacie Fields. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of The Benton House of Newnan and Bridgeway Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. Oscar Cope and Dr. Phil Pilgrim officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.
