Obituary for Howard Louis Watson Sr. Howard Louis Watson Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 83. Howard was born on March 24, 1935. He was the son of the late Albert Gallantine and Rosie Watson.

Howard married his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Peggy Laverne “Bernie” Watson on June 25, 1955 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Waldorf, Maryland. From this union seven children were born. Howard attended schools in Baden and Upper Marlboro, Maryland and received his G.E.D in 1974.

In 1952, Howard began his 35 year career as the Grounds Manager at Andrews Air Force Base and retired in 1987. In 1964, he completed his firemen training with the Brandywine Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered his service from 1964 until 1969. In 1990, Howard worked as a School Bus Driver with Prince George’s County Board of Education until his second retirement in 1995.

He enjoyed spending time with family, watching television shows, especially country westerns, football, baseball, golf, and court channels. He loved to keep his lawn clean, weed free, and well-manicured. In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his birth mother, Sally Watson, daughter Constance, brothers: Albert, Elwood, Joseph, Charles, and sister: Joyce Rouse.

He leaves to carry on his legacy 6 children: Phyllis McCrory, Howard (Howdy) Watson, Jr. (Kacy), Christopher Watson (Valerie), Kenneth Watson (Linda), Bridgette Watson, Angela Watson-Spinner (Marvin). 14 Grandchildren: Philip Robinson, Kerry Watson, LaTasha Brawner, Devan McCrory, Jarrell Watson, KaTray Watson Sr., Robert Watson, Kelvis Watson, Brandon Watson Sr., LyKendra Watson, Terrance Watson, Patrick Watson, Katrina Watson, and Marvin Spinner II. 18 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, his sister Alice, his brother Hugh, and a host of family and friends.

Friends received on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 9:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church – Baden, 17502 Aquasco Road, Brandywine, Maryland 20613. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735. Memorials in Howard’s name are asked to the National Kidney Foundation – Maryland & Delaware, Heaver Plaza, 1301 York Road, Suite 209, Lutherville, Maryland 21093.
