Obituary for Joy Marie Samuel Joy Marie (Taylor) Samuel, 62, of St Mary’s County, MD passed away surrounded by loved ones at home on November 15, 2018 Joy was born on April 29, 1956 to Mabel Roberta Padgett-Taylor and the late William Arthur Taylor. Joy was an administrative assistant at the Harry Nice Bridge where she was a friend to all. Dennis Point Marina was her ‘happy place’ where she enjoyed relaxing and spending time with very close friends (her extended family).

Joy’s life was devoted to her family and loved ones. She looked forward to gatherings with family and friends and was always planning the next event. She loved to laugh and make others laugh and was willing to help anyone that she could.

In addition to her mother Joy is survived by her husband Edward, Son Richard Griffiths, III, daughter Hope Breckenridge (Brian) and five grandchildren; Dylan, Amber, Jordan, Carla and Taylor. Joy dearly loved her grandchildren and devoted her life to them. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20 from 4:00 until time of service at 5:00 at Real Life Wesleyan church, 27399 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
