OBITUARY Howard Rick Turner July 26, 1953 – December 12, 2018 Born July 26, 1953, passed away with his family by his side on December 12, 2018 and joined his dad, Bratten Turner; grandparents, Brown and Pearl Turner, and Lucille Self and Denton Neal; uncle, Nolan Turner; his father and mother-in-law, Jesse and Eunice Mangrum; and sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and Linda Minchey. Survived by wife of almost 42 years, Brenda Turner; son, Cory Jacob Turner; Papa’s pride and joys, Aidan and Hudson Turner; mother, Annie Turner; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Jay Dee Haralson; nieces and nephews, Sonya and Tracy Graves, and Heather and Simon Fidler; great niece and nephew, Katelyn Graves and Sheldon Fidler; uncles and aunts, Jimmy and Lynn Turner, Willie and Lavelle Turner, Joe and Velma Turner, Don and Gail Turner, Faye Evans, Jean Hope, Polly Turner, and Ina Moore and many loving cousins. Also survived by extended family, Jerry and Joyce Bradshaw, Keith and Misty Huffine, Taylor and Jake; and his dearest friends, Barry and Cande Kidd.

Rick was retired from Vought Aircraft and the State of Tennessee. He loved yard work, detailing cars, playing bluegrass music and spending time with his family. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 at Hermitage Funeral Home and his Celebration of his life on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:00 with visitation from 11:00-12:00 at the church that he loved and served in ministry for 22 years, Cornerstone Church in Madison, TN.

Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers are Barry Kidd, Jim Hildreth, Tracy Graves, Terry Martin, Herb Hardcastle and Louis Robbins. Honorary Pallbearers are Former Members of Rick and Brenda’s Care Group: Dr. Michael Beckham, Dr. Kevin Childers, Dr. Maria Dongas, Mechelle Campbell, Helen Jennings, Stephanie Combs, Deborah Chaney, Johnny Matlock, Greg Beatty and Elmo Fitts.
