Humberto F. Perna, 80, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Havana, Cuba, he came to the United States in 1966, lived in Elizabeth, Edison and for the last 6 years in Lafayette. Humberto was a retired lab technician for Lab Corp of America in Somerville, and an avid fan of Yankees.

Mr. Perna was the beloved husband for 46 years of the late Magali Perna, devoted father of Alex Perna and his wife Glenda of Lafayette, loving brother of Nilda Zidonik and her husband Michael of Fanwood. Cherished grandfather of Shelby, dear uncle of Renee Soares, Christopher Zidonik, Thomas Kuc, Mercedes Hawley, Yolanda Donahue, Adriana Martinez and the late Michelle Kuc. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a prayer service on Monday, April 23, 2018, 1:00 pm at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia.
