I. Duane’s Obituary I. Duane Deem, 62 of Belpre, Ohio passed away April 27, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 9, 1956 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Ira and Mary Lou Metz Deem. He was retired from Schott/Corning Glassworks after several years of service.

Duane was an avid bowler and was inducted into the WV State Bowling Hall of Fame, the Parkersburg Bowling Hall of Fame and competed in Big 3 Bowling. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Parkersburg Moose Lodge. Duane is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Carney Deem; his children, Amy Chaves (Ronald) and their daughter, Bethany all of Parkersburg, Kevin Deem (Angie) and their children, Brendan and Nathan all of Belpre and Kristi McDonald (Jason) and their children, Kiara and Bryce all of Colorado; a sister, Francis Chipps (Mike) of Parkersburg; in-laws, Peggy Phillips (Gene) of Parkersburg; and nieces and nephews, Brian Watson, Brent Watson, Janelle Schimke, Scott Chipps and Michelle Ingram.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Watson; and father-in-law, Charles Carney. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Larry Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 2 pm. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
