Ida Elaine Allman Phillips, age 83, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Laurels of Summit Ridge. She was born on August 8, 1935 in Buncombe County to the late Charles Warren and Ida Marie Gentry Allman. Ida worked as the owner and operator of Production Welding and Fabrication Co. and was a member of Morgan Hill Baptist Church in Weaverville, NC.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Claude Thomas Phillips who passed on December 9, 2014; sister, Julia (Alice) Tomberlin; daughter-in-law, Tammy Lynn Phillips; and her son-in-law, Mark Mathis. Ida is survived by her children, Claudia Hensley (Gene), James Charles Phillips, Rebecca Mathis, and Michael Phillips (Laurie); her grandchildren, Matthew Hensley (Jessica), Stephanie Hensley, Patricia Mathis, Alesha Crouch (Kevin), Joseph Mathis, Jonathan Phillips, and Shanna Phillips; her great grandchildren, Noah Hensley, Emilyn Hensley, Eli Graham, and Kaiden Mathis; and her sisters, Joyce Moss (Roger), Sarah Doan, and Linda Childers (Gerald). A funeral service will be held at 12pm, Friday, March 17, 2019 at Biltmore Church of God.

Rev. Jeffrey Tomberlin and Rev. Dale Whitson will be officiating.

The family will be receiving friends from 11am-12pm at the church. Burial will follow at 2pm at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC. Memorials may be made to Care Partners Hospice at 68 Sweeten Creek Rd # A, Asheville, NC 28803.
