Obituary for Ida L. Ventimiglia Ida L. Ventimiglia (nee Young), a long-time resident of Channahon, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home at the age of 83. Born in Palmyra, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel (nee Marco) Young. Beloved Wife of the late Frank Ventimiglia, Jr; Cherished Mother of Mary Jo, Sandra Lee, Frank III and James Lawrence (Margaret) Ventimiglia; Proud Grandmother of Annette (Jeff), Michella Dew, Scott Dew, Amanda Rangel, Crystal Ventimiglia, Sarah (Henry) Nicola, Stephanie Ventimiglia and Steven Ventimiglia; A Wonderful Great Grandmother of many and the Dear Sister of Leroy (Grace) Young, Larry (Ann) Young and Margie Hunt.

Also Left to cherish her memory, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Jr; her son, Paul Andrew; and grandson, Nycolous. Ida enjoyed many years in the food service industry where she enthusiastically waited on tables at what was formerly known as Murry’s Restaurant in Channahon where she was fondly known as “One Cup Ida”, she was an avid bowler and played for many years in mixed leagues at Channahon Lanes.

She considered her time well invested in the youth of our community as an Assistant Den Mother for the Cub and Boy Scouts of America. She loved the outdoors and was especially happy when she was fishing or camping with her Children and Grandchildren. A much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend.

She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service for Ida L. Ventimiglia will begin at 11:45 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at The Maple Funeral Home located at24300 W Ford Rd, Channahon to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minooka.
