Ila Vee Hamblin Larsen, age 87, of Cedarview, Utah, returned to her Heavenly Father on May 11, 2019 at a care center in American Fork. She is having a wonderful reunion with her sweetheart, Jim, daughter Ellen, son Lagrand and many, many ancestors. Ila was born on May 26, 1931 to James Edwin and Reita Hunt Hamblin in Montwell, Utah.

She was the first of eight children. She and her sweetheart James “Jim” Morris Larsen were married on July 6, 1949. They had 61 wonderful years together and were sealed in the Vernal Temple in 2011.

He died August 10, 2010. Ila loved reading and doing genealogy. She loved raising her ten children and making sure everyone in her home was taken care of.

She is survived by her daughters, Louise (Terry) Alexander, Joy (John) Chapman, DeAnna Alexander, Jayme (Doug) Berkshire, Lori (Fredrick) Fritzler, Kristine (Art) Harris, Becky (Mark) Robinson, son, Rick Larsen, son-in-law, Marv Montague, 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren. Her siblings, Delmar (Barbara) Hamblin, Ruth Haslem, Duane (Alice) Hamblin, Alden (Ilene) Hamblin, Arva (Drew) Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Larsen; children, Ellen Montague, Legrand Larsen; and siblings, James Hamblin, and Reita Lyn Humphries.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with a viewing held from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Burial in the Cedarview Cemetery.
