Ima Jean’s Obituary Ima Jean Bennett Harris, 80 of Jesup died Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia surrounded by family and special friends. She was member of Gardi Baptist Church and widow of Raymond Major Harris. She grew up in Screven and was a 1958 Screven High School Graduate and enjoyed school basketball.

She supported many business endeavors with her husband and was a former bookkeeper for several businesses. In later years, she enjoyed Pine Forest Ladies Tennis and participated in many tournaments. She was also predeceased by her parents, Jim Henry and Tommie Lee Bennett; brothers, Labon and Dennis Vann Bennett.

Survivors are a daughter, Becky Harris (Wesley) Wilder of Jesup; two sons, Tim (Ellen) Harris, Josh (Andrea) Harris, both of Jesup; a sister, Odean Bennett Lightsey of Screven; a brother, Jimmy Bennett of Williamsville, Missouri; grandchildren, Krystal (Chris) Douglas, Raymond Wilder, Colby (Amber) Harris, Heather (Ryan) Teeter, Jordan Harris and fiance, Heath Woods, Joshua Harris III and special friend, Kayla Phillips, Natalie (David) Tyre, Alisa Grimes and partner, Jessi Brannen, Ben and Sam Simmons; great grandchildren, Chase and Haidyn Wilder, Isla Harris, Olivia and Scarlett Douglas, Caylen Harris, Raylan Tyre, Callie Harris, Colbie Jean and Reeve Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Memorial services will be 11 AM Friday, May 10, 2019 at Gardi Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Pruitt and Rev.

Stanley Todd officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, GA 31545 or Gardi Baptist Church, 981 Morning Glory Circle, Jesup, GA 31546.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
