Imani’s Obituary Ms. Imani Victoria Rogers, 16, of Gulfport, Mississippi departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2019. Imani was a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident and attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Biloxi. She was a student at West Harrison High School, where she excelled academically.

Imani was a beautiful soul both inside and out. Her humorous personality kept those around her laughing and her maturity and generosity transcended her generation. Imani’s family reminisces on how much joy she brought to the family and to the lives of those who were blessed to know her.

Her passing has left the world a little dimmer, but her impact within her church, community, family, and school, has given us all the strength we need to endure this great loss. May Imani’s life serve as an example of how precious life is and remind us to cherish each day. She was preceded in death by both maternal grandparents, Mr. Whitney Claud Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Evelyn Williams Simms.

She leaves to cherish her ever loving memory, her parents, Mr. Kandral Remandez Rogers and Mrs.Tanya Marie Jones Rogers; paternal grandparents, Mr. Ivory Thomas and Mrs. Yolanda Thomas- Gulfport, Mississippi; a brother, John Paul Campbell, Jr.- North Carolina; three sisters, Jasmine Jones- Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Jonnisha Campbell- Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Meliana Acker- Perlington, Mississippi; other relatives and friends.
