Ina Lucille McKinney September 06, 1924 – January 31, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Ina Lucille McKinney, age 94, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Parkwood Healthcare in Lebanon. Born September 6, 1924 in Strawtown, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John Earl and Loretta (Hughes) Irion. Ina attended Walnut Grove High School and made Hamilton County her home for most of her life.

Quilting was by far her favorite hobby. She enjoyed making things for her friends and family. When it came to quilting, Ina didn’t really need a project or a special occasion, she just did it and would find the perfect need for it later.

She also liked to playing cards. She would never turn down a game whenever the opportunity presented itself. Ina also liked to stay as active as she could, and maintaining her property seemed to fit the bill.

She really enjoyed mowing and tending to her garden. The one thing that Ina took the most pride in however, was her wonderful family. Survivors include: son: Stephen W. McKinney (Donna) of Sheridan daughter: Barbara Hanshew (Bill) of Sheridan 8 grandchildren: Elaine Cuban (Bob) of Illinois Angela Leisure of Sheridan Loretta Yates (Chris) of Carmel Wren McKinney (Margaret) of Sheridan Levi McKinney (Leah) of Sheridan Jeremy McKinney (Tonya) of Sheridan Megan McKinney of Sheridan Jeff Soden of Sheridan 14 great grandchildren brother: Edgar Irion (Melva) of Strawtown sister: Ione Meeks of Tipton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Beverly Terry and Carole Ann Irion; 3 sisters, Eva, Ethel, and Ella; and by her loving husband, Alton Wayne Mckinney on January 26, 2005. He and Ina were married on April 3, 1943. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 East 10th Street, Sheridan, Indiana, with visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Pastor George Cooper will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, Indiana.
