Obituary of Ina Blades Rae Blades walked into the warm embrace of her Lord on January 26, 2019. At the time of her passing at 93 years and 10 months she was residing in Meridian, Idaho. Ina Rae Brewer was born March 11, 1925 to Malcolm Lee and Zella Leola (Godfrey) Brewer at the family home in Sayre, Oklahoma.

She was the oldest of 8 children born to this union. In 1941, the family moved from Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Hardesty, Oklahoma. In 1945 she married the boy next-door, Vernon Lee Blades.

This marriage lasted 73 1/2 years. They lived in many locations around the Hardesty area. 3 children were born to them while living in Oklahoma.

In 1956 after a vacation trip to Idaho, they packed up and moved to Meridian, Idaho where they bought a 12 acre farm north of Meridian. In 1961, 2 more children were added to the family. Rae was a hard worker who loved flowers, her gardens, and most of all her family.

She baked wonderful pies, especially pear. She was a woman of God who loved studying His word. She prayed for each family member on a daily basis as well as many others.

There was no better prayer warrior than our Mother. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 brother in-law, 4 nephews and 1 niece. She is survived by her sister Dessie Blades of Hooker, OK, husband Vernon of Meridian, ID, daughter Sharon (Bob) Thurston of Meridian, ID, sons Earlon (Lin) Blades of Orofino, ID, Doyle (Marilyn) Blades of Ruth, NV , Delmer (Denise) Blades Boise, ID, Joe (Kathy) Blades Meridian, ID, 13 grandchildren, 23 Great grandchildren , 4 nephews and 8 nieces.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to all the people who have loved and help care for her over the last 8 years.
