Inez L. Renner, 91, of Sandusky, died Monday, July 9, 2018, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness. She was born March 14, 1927, in Sandusky, and was a 1945 graduate of Margaretta High School. She was a 35 year employee of the former New Departure Hyatt, Division of General Motors.

Known to everyone as Aunt Inie, she loved to play pinochle, work crossword puzzles, do the yard work, and being with her family and friends. She was a strong supporter of the Cleveland Cavs and Indians. Inie is survived by her sister Viola Liptok; sisters-in-law Kathleen Helfrich, Gloria Helfrich, and Lenore Grahl Syrstad; cousin Kate Korenke; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; and her special neighbors The Cottermans.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Charles Helfrich; her 2nd husband Kermit K. Renner; brothers Chester, Melvin, and Frank Grahl; sisters Evelyn Grahl and Lois Moody; and her parents Frank and Matilda (Groth) Grahl. Friends may call from 12- 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 1 p.m. The Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Back to the Wild, 4504 Bardshar Rd. , Box 423, Castalia, OH 44824, or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Bardshar Rd. , Sandusky, OH 44870.
