Obituary for Irene E. Davis Irene E. Davis, 95, of Louisville, formerly of St. Matthews passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov 1 (All Saints Day), 2018. She bequeathed her body to the University of Louisville Medical School for scientific advancement in medicine. Irene was born in Pana, Il, daughter of the late William Eilers and Minnie Buck Eilers.

She was a graduate of Millikin University where she was president of her senior class and a member of Who’s Who. She worked in food service at Dunn Elementary for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Phillip Warren Davis; a daughter, Rebecca Anne Davis; siblings, Roy Eilers, Helen Kibler, Lucile Frank and Norma Denton.

She is survived by her children, Michael P. Davis (Sandy), Jill L. Williams (Greg) and Jane I. Davis. A Memorial service will be 4p.m. Sunday at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road “in St. Matthews”, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living for their loving care and special friend and caregiver, Jamie Blandford.
