OBITUARY Thomas V. Barker Jr. February 19, 1943 – December 27, 2018 Thomas V. Barker Jr., 75, of Louisville, passed away at his home on December 27, 2018. He was born on February 19, 1943 to the late Thomas V. Sr. and Helen Barker. Thomas received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Louisville in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from IUPUI in Project Management.

Over his career, he worked for the Naval Ordinance Station, United Defense and BAE, where he retired from. He was an avid University of Louisville football fan, having had season tickets since 1976. He was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; his children, Steve Barker, Michael Barker and Laurie Vandivier (Charles); grandchildren; Tyler Barker, Brittany Vandivier, Maranda Barker, Nathan Vandivier and Jaden Barker; five siblings; and his dog, Cassie. A funeral mass will take place to celebrate Thomas’ life on January 3, 2019 at 10 am at St. Gabriel Parish, 5505 Bardstown Rd. with entombment to take place in Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family will accept guests for visiting on January 2, 2018 from 2-8 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
