Iris’ Obituary Iris Geraldine Mood (nee Feezor), 97, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Rock Hill, SC. Iris was born on June 5, 1921 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Parkman and Elsie Feezor. Iris’ love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life.

Her single focus was to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She studied God’s word every day and prayed each day for her family and others. During World War II while working for the Navy Department in Washington, DC, she met and married her loving husband, Frank R. Mood.

Following the war, Frank and Iris ministered together as pastor and pastor’s wife in various States for the Bible Presbyterian Church. During that time, Iris raised five children, taught Sunday School and summer Bible school, served in the women’s auxiliary for Faith Theological Seminary, was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society and took classes at Faith Theological Seminary. She also went on several mission trips and church-related meetings to various countries.

For the past 21 years every month Iris faithfully wrote and edited a newsletter, The Voice of Thanksgiving, which was published through the Christian Beacon Press. In 2005, after the passing of her husband of 61 years, Iris moved to South Carolina to live with her daughter, Marilyn. During her time in South Carolina, Iris became a member at Westminster Presbyterian Church and joined various Bible studies and circles.

She was also a lifetime member of the York County Quilters Guild. When she had free time, Iris enjoyed reading, sewing and playing the piano. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, Parkman and Elsie Feezor and her loving husband of 61 years, the Rev.

Frank R. Mood. She is survived by her sons, Frank Rogers Mood, Jr. of Waynesboro, PA, David Feezor Mood of Glen Burnie, MD and Daniel Lewis Mood (Christina) of Pennsauken, NJ; her daughters, Marilyn Iris Baldwin (SW) of York, SC and Laura Katharine Bilbrey (Richard) of Elkridge, MD; her brother, Gerald Feezor (Pat) of Marion, IL and her eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
