OBITUARY Iris S Acord October 20, 1929 – September 19, 2018 Iris S. Acord, of 93, entered into rest September 19, 2018. She was born in Haslem, Texas on October 20, 1924 to parents Arthur and Minnie Scott. Iris graduated from Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas and later became certified piano teacher.

She was married to Glenn R. Acord for 8 loving years until his passing. Iris had a career as a piano teacher, she also worked in the grocery industry. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Women’s Auxiliary, Baptist University, and an AARP Volunteer.

She had a passion flowers, people, but above all her family. Iris is survived by her daughter Jackie Blackburn, siblings; Charles Patrick, Rhonda Franzese, Bert Harris and wife Tonya, John Thierry, Terri Partridge and husband Mike, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn R. Acord.
