Irma’s Obituary Irma M. Frick, age 95, of Elkhart, died at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hubbard Hill Retirement Home, Elkhart. She was born May 3, 1924 in Huntington to LeRoy and Pearl (Redding) Hite. Irma was a 1942 graduate of Union Township (Huntington) High School.

On July 17, 1943 she married Philip Frick in Camp Crowder, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2000. Irma and Philip had moved to Nappanee in 1953, and then in 1972 they moved to Wilson, North Carolina.

Irma then moved to Hubbard Hill in 2001. She had worked in accounting and social work. Irma attended St. Thomas Catholic Church in Elkhart.

She formerly attended St. Therese in Wilson, North Carolina. She enjoyed being with friends, and especially with family. Irma was a member of the Lady Lions Auxiliary, and was known for playing the mandolin in churches in North Carolina and Indiana.

She is survived by a daughter, Connie (Eric) Parrow, Warner Robins, GA; sons, Greg (Jennifer) Frick, Fernandina Beach, FL, and Ted (Kathy) Frick, Bloomington, IN. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bryce and Paul Dean Hite. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019, with an hour visitation before the mass at St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Father Jason Freiburger, of St. Thomas Catholic Church, will officiate. A visitation will also be held from 2-3 p.m., Tuesday, May 14th in the Chapel at Hubbard Hill Retirement Home, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. also at Hubbard Hill. Chaplain Dave Severance will officiate.

Entombment will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18th in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson, North Carolina. Memorial contributions may be given to Hubbard Hill Retirement Home, Elkhart, IN. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
