Obituary for Irma Lou Rush (Wiley) Print Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Wiley Rush will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Tom Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the National VA Cemetery, Pineville, LA, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Mrs. Rush, age 92, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 7, 2010 at Riverside Hospital, Alexandria, LA, surrounded by her loving family.

Irma Lou Wiley Rush was born in Shongaloo, LA to Joseph and Wilma Louise Mayfield Wiley. She married William Rush on September 8, 1953. She worked as a nurse for the V.A. Hospital for 35 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her care giving nature continued after retirement by caring for family members. In addition to being a care giver, she was an avid gardener and seamstress.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, William Rush; parents, Joseph and Wilma Wiley; brother, Morris G. Wiley; sister, Reba W. Grubbs, and infant brother. She is survived by her daughter, Anita R. Craig; granddaughters, Aleata Lucille Craig (Brian) and Irma Christine Dean; special grandson, Toby C. McClure (Amy); eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; Friends may visit on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Toby McClure, Tom McClure, James Scroggs, Brian Butts, Devan Hagan and Jeff Barnhill; honorary pallbearers will be Friends may post online messages of condolence for the Rush family by visiting www. gallagherfh.com.
