Isaiah’s Obituary Isaiah Maurice Lussier, 11, of Millville passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Isaiah (Iya) is survived by his parents, Julie (Littmann) Lussier and Marc Lussier of Millville; sister Emma of Millville and sister Jocelyn of Mapleville, RI; Nana Donna Hill and Papa Brian Surette of Milo, ME; Mémère Michelle Lussier of Narragansett, RI; great Pépère Lionel Toupin of Narragansett, RI; Auntie Sarah Littmann and her partner Sean Fizer of Norwood; Uncle David Littmann and his partner Kayla Graham of Nashville, TN; Auntie Monette and her fiancé Ryan Reilly and cousins Conor and Brynn of Bellingham; Rena and Jeffery Lombardi of Vermillion, SD; Curtis and Sarah Surette of Uxbridge; Titi Amanda Gledhill and family of Blackstone. He was loved by many great aunts and uncles and cousins of all ages.
He is joined in heaven by his Pépère Maurice Lussier, his great Mémère Huguette Toupin, and his great grandparents Pastor William and Betty Hill. Isaiah was born on July 5, 2007 in Framingham, Ma. Throughout his life he was known to have a smile that would light up a room.
Isaiah was also a huge New England sports fan and enjoyed attending games with his family. He was super competitive and loved playing any and all sports. Isaiah was diagnosed at age one with Polymicrogyria, a rare condition that affected the development of his brain.
Even with a full awareness of his disability, he never let it get in the way of living his life to the absolute fullest. After being granted a wish in 2015, Isaiah became an active family member of the Children’s Wishes of RI. He also was extremely involved with the Special Olympics of RI and The Outreach Program (TOPS).
Isaiah was a 6th grader at Fredrick W. Hartnett Middle School in Blackstone, MA. His favorite pastimes were playing outside with his neighborhood friends, watching sports especially hockey and wrestling (WWE), and playing video games, such as Fortnite. Isaiah was kind, fearless, and loved to make everyone around him laugh.
He especially loved his family and being a brother. He will be missed so much by many. Isaiah’s family and friends invite you to his Memorial Service and Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Paul’s Church in Blackstone, Ma from 2-6pm.
There will not be a viewing or funeral, instead we would like to extend an invitation to honor his life that will be also be a kid-friendly celebration. We would like this to be a chance for anyone who loved Isaiah to come together to celebrate his happy, courageous life and to share beautiful memories of him. There will also by a Candlelight vigil on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Roosevelt Park in Blackstone, Ma at 6pm.
This will be a rain or shine event. We encourage everyone to wear blue for Isaiah’s favorite color or purple for epilepsy. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to raise awareness of Polymicrogyria and help find a cure for epilepsy.
