Obituary for Isla Ralph (Kennedy) Isla (Kennedy) Ralph 100 of North Huntingdon died Tuesday January 1, 2019 in Redstone Highlands Greensburg. She was born August 26, 1918 in Turtle Creek, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Sullivan) Kennedy. Isla was at one time employed at Westinghouse Electric of East Pittsburgh, where she met her future husband Frank.

Prior to her retirement, Isla was employed as an accounting clerk for North Huntingdon Twp. She was a member of St. Agnes Church of North Huntingdon, its Emerald Club, and its Catholic Daughters of America. Isla was also a member of the Friends of the Norwin Public Library, and the Oak Hollow Senior Citizens Center.

For the 15 years preceding Frank’s death, Isla and her husband, loved to travel throughout the country, they enjoyed spending most of their time in the mountains on their property in Elk Lick Twp. Although Alzheimer’s began stealing her memories in 2001, it could never rob her of her kindness, her grace, her generosity, or her spirit. Isla, affectionately known as “Little Bear” was a very joyous, kind hearted person and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

She was a tonsorial advisor to all. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Ralph, and a sister Florence Kennedy. Surviving are her children, Mary Ellen Kennedy Ralph and her husband Don Marcucci, Frank W. Ralph and his wife Sharon of Allison Park, George “Gary” Ralph and his wife Susan of North Huntingdon, and Isla Jane Ralph and her husband Buzz Grimm of North Versailles.

Five grandchildren; Emily Ralph, Mary Ralph, Jonathan Grimm, Heather Marcucci, and Michael Ralph. Also surviving are Brothers-in-law Albert Ralph and his wife Bernie of North Huntingdon, Tom Whalen of East Pittsburgh, and sister-in-law Emily Ralph of Sarasota, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Ave.

Irwin on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Parting prayers will take place at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Church. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
