Obituary for Jack Camp SHELBY: Jack D. Camp, 84, died Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Boyd and Laura Spake Camp. Jack served in the Army, retired from Dover Textiles, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hamrick Camp; sons, Darryl and Boyd Camp; and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Wilson and husband Sam of Shelby, Rhonda Martin and husband Gold of Vale; sister, Rachel Jolley and husband Bill of Boiling Springs; brother, John Camp and wife Earlene of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm, Friday, December 28, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11am, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Corley and Rev. Steve Waters officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
