Jack’s Obituary Jack D Woodman, 87, of Chappell passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 17, 2018 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte surrounded by his family. Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Chappell with Father Matt Koperski officiating. Burial of the urn will follow in the Chappell City Cemetery.

Memorials in Jack’s name can be made to Chappell Volunteer EMS or Night of Hope in Sidney (www. nightofhope.com). Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Woodman Family.

Jack was born November 8th, 1930, the only son of Jerry and Edna Woodman southwest of Shelton, Ne at home with mid wife Eva Brown. The family moved to Ansley Ne when he was 1 year of age, then back to family farm in Kenesaw, Neb. He graduated from Shelton High School and attended one year of college at Wesleyan College in Lincoln.

He worked as a farmer, painter, mechanic, scraper operator and then with his dad in the well drilling business. Jack moved to California in 1956, where he met his wife Edna Mae in 1957. They were married October 18, 1958.

From this union three girls were born, Patricia, Sandra, and Michelle. Jack sold gasoline, diesel and chemical equipment, and installation in California for 23 years. Jack and Edna moved to Chappell in 1982 to open a restaurant, and in 1983 received a daughter and son Dawn and Richard.

He retired in 1984. They ran Sno King restaurant as their baby until 2006. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a Worshipful Master in the Masons, a member of the Methodist Men, Lions, and Elks.

Jack is survived by loving wife Edna Mae; daughters, Patricia Woodman of Denver, Colorado, Sandra Woodman of Kent, Washington, Michelle Hrbek and husband TJ of Chappell, and Dawn Klein and husband Jeff of Lincoln, Ne; son, Richard Woodman of Midland, Tx; Grandkids, Brandy and Troy Isenbart, Ashley and Kyle Boman, Aaron Woodman, Bryson and Collin Klein; Great grandkids, Chase, Hunter and Bentley Isenbart, and Brityn and Whitlynne Boman; And numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edna W. and Jerry Woodman.
