Clifford’s Obituary Clifford Mussey, 88, of Julesburg and formerly of Sedgwick passed away early Monday morning, January 7, 2019 at the Sedgwick County Hospital in Julesburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Assembly of God Church in Chappell with Pastors Kevin Jacobs and Rich Graeff officiating. Burial will follow in the Sedgwick Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Holechek Bondegard Funeral Home in Chappell. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Chappell Assembly of God Church for missions. Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Mussey family.

He was born to Wilbur and Amy Mussey of Sedgwick County, CO. He graduated from Sedgwick High School and helped work his father’s farm and other jobs. In 1959, he met the love of his life, Phyllis Jones, in Nebraska while working as part of a wheat harvesting crew.

They were married the following year, in Morganhill, CA, after a letter-writing and telephone romance. They lived in Commerce City, CO for 44 years before relocating to Sedgwick, CO. After a series of medical issues in 2012, he resided at the Sedgwick County Nursing Home until his death.

In his early days, he worked at the GW in Ovid, CO and on a wheat harvesting crew. Starting in 1960, he was a machinist at Gardner-Denver for 28 years and then another 10 years at Dow. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and playing with his cats.

He loved praising his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served churches he attended as Sunday School bus driver, greeter, usher, and deacon. He loved the fellowship and support of his church family and was rich with friends. He is survived by two sons; Dale Mussey with wife, Debbie, and Kevin Mussey with wife, LaVeta all of Aurora, CO; four grand-children, Devin Mussey with wife Michelle, Jennifer Mussey, Daimi Mussey, and Alex Mussey; two great-grandchildren, Justyne Stroh and Natallai Mussey and two sisters; Alice Radke with husband, Gene of Big Springs, NE and Carol Juett with husband Paul of Sidney, NE.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Phyllis Mussey: his parents; one brother Melvin Mussey and one sister Esther Reichman.
