Obituary for Jack Ferris Haddad Jack Ferris Haddad February 15, 1950 – April 16, 2018 Jack Haddad was born in Winona, Minnesota, and moved to California in 1960. He graduated from Lakewood High School and joined the Army in 1968. He was assigned to an orthopedic and podiatry unit at Ford Ord.

He was then stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C., where he was honorably discharged. He worked in the grocery business at Boy’s Market in Long Beach, where he met his wife of 37 years. They married in 1980 and moved to Bakersfield in 1981.

Jack acquired his real estate license and worked for Century 21 America West, Dean Gay Realty, Prudential America West, and then Coldwell Banker Preferred Realtors, where he was an instructor for their real estate school. He served on the board for the California Association of Realtors as chairman of the association’s local government relations committee in 1990 and as chairman of the Bakersfield Multiple Listing Service committee during the period that they were installing the BORIS computer system. He was also a director on the board for taxation and professional standards committee and elected vice president and then president in 1994.

Outside his career, he enjoyed camping with his family, golf, watercoloring, and repairing his 1978 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Jack is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Lindsey and Chris Frazer; son, Joseph and Kate Haddad; and grandchildren, Cole, Logan, Noelle, Aubrey, and Addison. He also is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Todd, Cheri Hardy; sister-in-law, Debbie Lindsey; and father-in-law, Devaughn Lindsey; and many nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Jack passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018, after a long illness with family at his side. He will live in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
