Obituary Jack R. Marfio Passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on May 20, 2019 surrounded by loving family. He was the youngest of nine children born to Joseph and Mary (DiBeneditto) Marfio, immigrants from Chiusa Sclafani, a village outside of Palermo, Sicily. He was born at home on October 8, 1925 in Murphysboro Illinois.

He served in the Army Air Corp as a radio operator from 1943-1946 serving in the Western Pacific during WWII.
