Jack W. Deeter, 79, Glade Pike, Manns Choice, died at 9:30 AM, Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at at his home. Mr. Deeter was born in Fairhope on March 31, 1939, son of the late Wesley and Meredith (Robb) Deeter. On September 25, 1965 Jack married Barbara J. (Shippey) Deeter.

She preceded him in death on November 21, 2015. He is survived by Son- Scott W. husband of Pamala Baldwin, Winchester, VA; Daughter- Jane R. wife of Monte Mitchell, Denton, MD; Grandchildren Kyle Deeter, Shannon Davis, Tasha Locke, Amanda Mitchell, Caleb Mitchell; Great-Grandchildren Autumn Markson, Holden Scott ; Brother- Carl Deeter, Brunswick, OH. Jack is preceded in death by three Brothers- Paul, Kirby and Gerald Deeter and also Sister- Patty Sarver.

Jack had an Associate’s Degree in Business and worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Fox Motors, Bedford for 39 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a SP4 E4. Mr. Deeter was affiliated with Trinity United Church of Christ, Manns Choice where he was an organist for 43 years and he also served on the Church Consistory.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, Manns Choice at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 with Reverends Joseph and Cheryl Ward officiating. Interment at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.
